Title: Recent Data Mining and Modeling Problems in Finance and E-Business

Abstract: In data mining, successful approaches combine three areas: 
useful data, appropriate algorithms, and knowledge of the domain and its 
questions. This talk focuses on the third area. It presents several 
projects both from the areas of financial services and e-business, include 
stock trading transactions analysis, and text information extraction. 
Rather than discussing details of the algorithms, this talk analyzes the
features of the problems that determined successes and failures of the
projects.
