MATH1013 Enrollment

The allocation of places of MATH1013 is by balloting. Each sub-class has its own pool of students.

Notes

· Quote from the syllabus of MATH1009, “Not for students who have passed MATH1011 or MATH1013, or have already enrolled in these courses”. Your application would not be rejected immediately if you’re applying MATH1009 simultaneously. If you do want to take MATH1013, you may drop MATH1009.

· Since passing MATH1851 and MATH1853 is deemed equivalent to passing MATH1013, applications of BEng and BEng (EngSc) students would be rejected immediately.[1]

· Most of you are going to take this course to fulfill graduation requirement, and there may be various troubles if you fail to take it this semester. Therefore, it is NOT a reason to ask for special treatment. I'd only give special arrangement to those who MUST take this course (as a required course) NOW or they are not able to graduate in this academic year otherwise.

· You can attend the class and access the MOODLE course page even your status is “pending”.

· Since SIS is managed by your HOME Faculty, I cannot modify the enrollment list. In case that you want to change sub-class, please contact your HOME faculty staffs.

[1] If MATH1851 and MATH1853 are not required courses for your Engineering major/minor, you may send me an email with supporting document (e.g. a link to the major/minor requirement).
