Seminar
Some recent developments on
Hodge Theory and Chow groups
Dr. Avery Ching
Abstract
The Chow group of a variety is a
fundamental subject in intersection theory. But it can be computed in a few trivial
cases only. Its general structure is even more mysterious. In this talk, we intend to
explain a construction of the formal tangent spaces of Chow groups. We will
discuss how it gives partial solutions to some open problems, and its
deficiencies.
