Fujita's freeness conjecture on projective 5-folds

Abstract

Let X be a smooth projective variety of dimension 5 over C and L be an ample line bundle on X.  In this talk, I will introduce some new invariants and techniques, and explain difficulties and ideas in our proof of Fujita's freeness conjecture on X, i.e. the adjoint linear system |K_X + kL| is base point free whenever k ≥ 6.
